Browser extensions cannot directly write into website IndexedDB instances due to cross-origin isolation. Traditional extensions solve this by uploading your data to a remote relay server, creating security vulnerabilities.
Lumist companion extensions circumvent cloud relays entirely by encoding captured styles into an on-demand Base64 URL fragment (#import=...). Your local workspace ingests and decodes the payload inside browser memory, keeping your data sovereign.
